The 3 Second Rule To Stop Stress in 3 Immediate Steps

Stress is an inevitable part of life. It can come from various sources such as work, relationships, finances, health, and other personal or professional matters.

While stress is natural, it can be debilitating if it is not managed properly.

Fortunately, there are many techniques and strategies to deal with stress, and one of them is my 3-second rule.

As a wellness expert, author, and speaker who has been helping people improve their health and well-being for over 20 years. Creator of the "Fitpreneur", Radical Self Belief and Mojo Maker Academy programs I combine fitness, business, and lifestyle strategies to help entrepreneurs, executives and every day leaders in life like you achieve your goals.

The 3-second rule is one of my signature techniques to help people manage stress and stay focused - to break up with overwhelm.

The 3-second rule is simple but powerful.

It involves taking three deep breaths and focusing on the present moment for three seconds.

Number 1 - Take one deep breath, then follow that by 2 more slowly and on purpose. Exhale.

The idea behind this technique is to interrupt the cycle of stress and anxiety and create a moment of mindfulness.

By taking three deep breaths, you activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for rest and relaxation. This helps to reduce your heart rate and blood pressure, which in turn reduces your stress levels.

The next step is to focus on the present moment for three seconds.

This means being aware of your surroundings, your thoughts, and your emotions.

You can do this by taking a mental inventory of your surroundings, noticing any sensations in your body, and acknowledging any thoughts or emotions that come up.

By doing this, you are creating a moment of mindfulness that helps to reduce stress and increase focus.

Number 3 is to reminder yourself you can achieve, do and overcome anything!

It is crucial to remember stress is not a bi-product of success and in actual fact it's a learned reaction rather than a considered response in today's information overload world. Say to yourself "i got this".

  • Get grounded. Press pause and remember who you are.

The 3-second rule can be used anytime and anywhere, whether you're at home, work, or on the go. It's a quick and effective way to manage stress and stay focused on your goals.

You can use it before a meeting, before a presentation, or before a workout to help you stay calm and centered.

In addition to the 3-second rule, I recommend several other strategies to manage stress, such as exercise, meditation,  Winning Weeks© and just a total appreciation and gratitude for every day.

  • Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and improve your overall health and well-being.
  • Meditation is a powerful tool to help you stay calm and focused, and gratitude can help you shift your mindset from negative to positive.

In conclusion, to wrap this up short and sharp: the 3-second rule is a simple yet effective technique to manage stress and increase focus.

By taking three deep breaths and focusing on the present moment for three seconds, you can create a moment of mindfulness that helps to reduce stress and improve your overall well-being.

If you're looking for a quick and easy way to manage stress, give the 3-second rule a try and see how it can help you stay calm, focused, and productive.

Yours in Mojo
